Just up the road from Temple Sowerby lies this 700 yard stretch of the main River Eden, with some decent pools and runs and excellent fly casting space
Stocks
The River here is known to hold a good head of trout both wild and stocked, there are also a few grayling about, along with the possibility of hooking into a salmon or even a chub!.
Access and Directions
Heading east on the A66 drive through Temple Sowerby, after a few hundred yards beyond the village take the first right turn, carry on this road around the corner for about ¾ of a mile. Then take the first right for about 500 yards and you will come to Ousenstand Bridge. There is Go Wild parking sign on the right before the bridge and also another space on the right just over the bridge.
There is fishing above and below the bridge on the left hand bank when looking upstream. The token box is located on the left hand side of the bridge when coming from Temple Sowerby. At the end of each beat, either side of the bridge there is a Beat End sign to indicate the extent of the Go wild fishing.
